Picture Your World Youth Photography Workshop: Mitchell Lake Audubon Center
Just south of downtown San Antonio, the Mitchell Lake Audubon Center is located on a 1200-acre natural area. This unique and beautiful bird haven consists of the 600-acre Mitchell Lake, 215 acres of wetlands and ponds and 385 acres of upland habitat. Join us as we learn about these unique landscapes and photograph their beauty.
Each workshop cost is $10.00 per student for Green Spaces members and $20.00 per student for non-members. Check-in time is 15 minutes before the start of the workshop. Digital cameras are available, or you may bring your own. Parents may attend. Fees may be waived for students demonstrating financial need. To apply for a waiver, submit a note from a teacher or other authority who can attest to the student’s financial status. All workshops are from 12:45 pm-4:30 pm. Professional photographer Nancy Garcia and Project Manager Sherry Christensen will provide instruction on good photos and camera management. A naturalist will also be in attendance at each workshop for instruction on plants and wildlife.
In registering your child for a Green Spaces Alliance photography workshop you acknowledge that neither photographer, naturalist, instructor, Green Spaces, nor landowner is responsible in the event of accident that might injure for him/her.Green Spaces Alliance also reserves the right to use the child's photograph for publication purposes pertaining to the organization.
